Prague

Prague is the capital city of the Czech Republic, and is known worldwide for its stunning beauty and architecture. In fact, it is nicknamed the “City of a Hundred Spires.” It is situated in the central part of the country on the Vltava River. The city is more than 1200 years old, and many historic churches and castles, as well as one of the oldest universities in Europe, can be visited there.

With a rich history, Prague is now a modern and dynamic city of about 1.26 million inhabitants. It is considered a great place for children because of its many parks. There are also many opportunities for families residing there, such as playgrounds and one-time events for families, activities organised by different city districts, activities organised by the Zoo of Prague, Father’s Day or Sports Festivals among others.

It boasts five large hospitals with excellent departments for gynaecology and obstetrics, and many private gynaecological and obstetrical centres for pregnant women and mothers. It also has plenty of centres focusing on healthy nutrition and lifestyles. Diverse physical activities are offered in fitness centres and sport clubs, as well as in the city parks.

Families have an average of two children.
